Deveraux Apartment Communities is proud to announce that we have been recognized with four Professional Property Managers Association (PPMA) Awards, highlighting the innovation, service, and leadership that continue to shape our organization. Deveraux received the Innovation Award for Evie, our AI-powered virtual assistant, as well as the Outstanding Community Service Award. We are also celebrating two outstanding individual achievements, with Amy Alan receiving the Outstanding Customer Service Award and Diana Barsky being named Property Manager of the Year.
The Innovation Award recognizes the impact of Evie, which was launched in 2025 and piloted across our Winnipeg communities. Designed to enhance both the prospect and resident experience, Evie provides real-time support by phone, text, and email, assisting with rental inquiries, tour bookings, maintenance requests, and building updates.
Our Outstanding Community Service Award reflects Deveraux’s commitment to building strong communities both within our properties and beyond them. Through initiatives such as The Social, our resident engagement program, we create opportunities for neighbours to connect through events. We are also proud of our ongoing support for Harvest Manitoba, which includes collecting almost 900 pounds of essential items from residents, employees, and trade partners, as well as our sponsorship of the Winnipeg Chinese Seniors Association Canada Day Block Party in Bridgwater Trails.
We are especially proud to recognize Amy Alan for receiving the Outstanding Customer Service Award. Since joining the team in 2022 as a Cleaner at Latitude 49 at Sage Creek, Amy has made a lasting impression through her genuine care for residents and the pride she takes in her work. She is known for building meaningful relationships, remembering residents by name, recognizing their pets, and helping create a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Her consistent attention to detail and commitment to maintaining clean, well-cared-for spaces have had a direct and positive impact on the resident experience.
We are also thrilled to celebrate Diana Barsky, who was named Property Manager of the Year. As Regional Operations Manager for Deveraux Apartment Communities, Diana oversees more than 2,000 residential units across the Manitoba portfolio and is recognized for her exceptional leadership, operational excellence, and people-first approach. Her contributions have included strengthening team culture, mentoring community managers and frontline teams, improving internal processes, enhancing service quality, and supporting resident engagement through initiatives that are now being considered for broader adoption across other regions.
These four awards are a meaningful reflection of the passion, professionalism, and commitment that define Deveraux Apartment Communities.
