The Deveraux Group of Companies is pleased to announce the launch of our annual fundraising campaign – the 12 Days of Giving. This campaign, running from December 11-22, 2023, invites our residents, staff and trade partners to contribute towards the fight against food insecurity in our communities.
Recent statistics from Food Banks Canada have shown a concerning trend: in March 2023, there were nearly two million visits to food banks across Canada. This marks a staggering 32 percent increase from March 2022 and an unprecedented 78.5 percent increase since March 2019. These numbers aren’t just statistics; they represent families, individuals and children in our communities who face daily uncertainties about their next meal.
We believe that together we can make a significant impact.
You can participate by:
Drop off canned goods and other non-perishable food items at designated collection points – boxes are located at Deveraux Apartment Communities leasing offices and head offices in Calgary, Edmonton, Regina and Winnipeg.
Every dollar counts. Monetary donations will be used to purchase essential food items and support the food banks’ operational costs. Deveraux will match donations up to $2,000 in each market for a total of $8,000. You can donate online at CanadaHelps.org.
